Canela launches a comprehensive Sustainability and ESG service

This new service package offers tailored solutions to help companies not only comply with the CSRD directive but also lead in sustainability

Canela, the Iberian communications agency, is launching its new Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) service, designed to help companies not only meet the requirements of the CSRD. Starting in 2025, this directive will require organizations with more than 250 employees to be more transparent about their environmental, social, and governance impact. Beyond compliance, Canela aims to transform sustainability into a strategic asset that enhances companies’ reputation and market competitiveness.

Strategy, reporting, training, and certification: comprehensive solutions for businesses

Canela’s new service offers tailored solutions to help companies not only comply with the new directive but also lead in sustainability. The key areas include:

  • Sustainability reports: CSRD-aligned reporting that strengthens trust among investors, consumers, employees, and other key stakeholders.
  • ESG audits: Identifying areas for improvement to maximize positive impact.
  • Strategic ESG consulting: Optimizing sustainable strategies to enhance brand perception.
  • ESG training: Customized training to align the entire organization with sustainability goals.
  • Sustainable certifications: Advisory and support for evaluation and application to international certifications such as B Corp.

Angy Morales, the new head of ESG services

This new service will be led by Angy Morales, who has extensive experience in sustainability and ESG and is certified by B Lab Spain as a B Corp Ambassador. After nine years at Canela, Angy has internally led the agency’s sustainability department and contributed to Canela’s certification process as one of the first Iberian B Corp communications agencies. She also spearheaded the initiative that made Canela the first Spanish agency to join Clean Creatives, demonstrating her commitment and expertise in managing sustainable initiatives. Her new position as Account Director & ESG Specialist at Canela will be key in guiding companies toward responsible and transparent management.

The challenge is not just complying with the CSRD but standing out. Our service goes beyond reporting data—it transforms sustainability into a strategic asset for businesses and their environment,” says Angy Morales, Account Director & ESG Specialist at Canela. “Regulatory compliance is just the starting point. We must go further, and even companies that are not required to comply with the CSRD have an important role to play in sustainability and ESG.”
