Instagram hands you the reins of your feed with its new “Your Algorithm”

Instagram rolls out Your Algorithm, a feature that lets users decide which content they want to see more or less of on Reels, personalising the feed based on their interests.

TikTok adds new AI-powered tools to TikTok Shop, including automatic video generation, synthetic voice dubbing and product page creation.

Edits, Instagram’s editing app, now includes internal links in Reels, along with weekly personalised ideas, new video effects and storyboard improvements.

TikTok launches Gameplan, a new set of resources for sports clubs and organisations to help them connect with fans, showcase schedules and tickets, analyse performance and encourage content creation on the platform.

Instagram cuts the maximum number of hashtags per post to five, penalising generic ones and prioritising specific, relevant tags.

Spotify is preparing Page Match, a feature that syncs physical or e-books with their audiobooks, letting users switch from reading to listening without losing their place by scanning the page with their phone camera.

Instagram now allows users to repost Stories from public accounts even if they’re not mentioned, increasing content visibility while preserving authorship, with the option to enable or disable the feature in settings.

WhatsApp introduces role labels in group chats, new text stickers and event reminders, improving organisation and communication in group conversations.

TikTok launches Travel Ads in Spain, a new AI-powered ad format that allows airlines, hotels and destinations to promote trips automatically and in a personalised way, connecting in-app inspiration directly with booking.
