How to deal with a Black Friday and a Christmas without any stock

As every year, October has stood out for being a month in which brands and businesses prepare for the great campaigns of the year. Major news topics this month include the shortage of supplies, the Pandora papers, the ongoing eruption of the volcano in La Palma, the labour reform in Spain, the controversy surrounding the rise in the electricity prices and of course the virality of the new Netflix show, “Squid Game”.

Meanwhile, the financial stability of the media groups remains critical. Spain’s largest media group, Prisa has made a loss of 82 million euros between January and September this year. But it is not all bad news for the industry. El País has launched a new design to promote new narratives and give more weight to opinion based pieces. During October there has been some news arrivals on the media scene: El Debate, a newspaper chaired by Alfonso Bullón de Mendoza and directed by Bieito Rubido, was presented in Madrid with the broad support of some institutions and personalities from all fields, and El Periódico de España, the national newspaper with print and online versions of Prensa Ibérica directed by journalist Fernando Garea.

In the lifestyle media, Woman has managed to position itself as the highest-end women’s magazine with the highest circulation this month, above Elle, Telva. Cosmo and Vogue. The world of communication has been celebrating the Ondas Awards who awarded Iñaki Gabilondo for his “long career at the service of the radio” and also the information services of Cadena SER Canarias, for their coverage of the volcano in La Palma. Below, we share some of the conclusions that we have detected as a result of our media analysis during the
