Media Tracking – November 2021
We’re facing an atypical Christmas with a supply chain crisis, a new variant of the coronavirus and the most expensive electricity in our country’s history
November, as every year, has been dominated by the upcoming Christmas campaigns and Black Friday; however, the alarm about the new variants of the coronavirus has been one of the main topics of the news all over the country. Therefore, after a few hopeful months, now the media is talking about new measures and initiatives to overcome the crisis caused by Omicron. In the meantime, other news, such as the devastations caused by the volcano in La Palma or problems with supply chains, continue to be the main topics in the media.
In addition, this month has been especially sad given that Almudena Grandes, one of the most important figures of Spanish literature and a regular at the Semana Negra, passed away. Regarding the media situation in our country, we must highlight that Google will work with the media to reach agreements about how to protect their rights under the new law. The technology company will continue working to offer Google News Showcase, a program of licensed products in Spain.
The media have taken advantage of the improvement in the health situation in October and November to invite the main technology brands and media ito well-known awards such as the Xataka Awards or ADSL Zone. Here are some takeaways from our media analysis: Download it here!
