Canela PR was created initially as an agency focused on technology sector being Western Digital, worldwide leader in storage solutions, and HTC, multinational manufacturer of smartphones and tablets among its first clients. However, over years, the company has diversified its activity across different areas: consumer technology (working for clients such as Lenovo, Medion, Kodak, Rollei, Eyefi or Altec); business technology (Hitachi Data Systems, Stibo Systems, Fujitsu, Transics, Zendesk); Internet and e-commerce (Rakuten, Prestashop, Freelancer.com); lifestyle (Café Royal, Badoo, Rolex, Lucas Fox); media services (Getty Images, Flumotion, Vindico); health (Boston Medical Group, Clínica Liberty); and marketing (Adfonic, Lyoness, eGentic).

In 2008, aside from the central office in Barcelona, Canela opened an office in Madrid, and, in 2010, in Lisbon to meet the needs of the Portuguese market. The nomination was for the “Geo-Xating” campaign for Mio Technology that aimed to promote the use of GPS for family use and hobbies. Through an action of treasure hunting, participants had been discovering the jewels of Catalan historic heritage. The proposal had a huge impact and resulted in wide coverage on TV, radio, news agencies, regional press and tourism magazines.
Other outstanding campaigns organized by Canela PR in the recent years have been showcooking with a famous chef Alberto Chicote to promote gourmet products in the online marketplace Rakuten; Facebook app development, a game-tutorial on how to back up data which has generated 14.000 Likes of the WD´s fun page in just one month; the launch event of Café Royal in Spain with Adrián Fernándes, awarded as the best barman in Spain; or the showcase for different products of Lenovo in 2014, which has generated more than 1.500 media features, 29 interviews and 40 product reviews.
