Babbel, the leading language learning app, needed to differentiate itself from the competition in the Spanish market. Whilst effectively showing all the advantages of learning a new language in order to interest of users who wants to learn a new language in a quick and effective way.
Canela created a plan to involve this app in the daily life of the Babbel target audience, including press releases related to travel, gastronomy, special days, culture… to reach lifestyle publications in a creative way. We also generated contents focused on “professional career” using insights from surveys distributed among app users. This information aroused the interest of journalists and showed how Babbel can meet the needs of employees who need to improve their level of languages to promote or find a new job.
These activities resulted in more than 210 clippings, 5 interviews, 1 keynote and 2 partnership in just 6 months. As well as, coverage in national and business publications like El País, Cinco Días, Expansión and El Economista and lifestyle media like Telva, Woman, Cuore and Yo Dona. Moreover, to position Babbel team as a reference in the sector, we managed 5 interviews with different spokespeople of the company depending on the topic they are experts.
