Canela is delighted to be sponsoring and taking part in Green Tech Challenge in Lisbon today Green Tech Challenge is a Danish growth program that helps green startups scale to success. The first edition took place in Copenhagen in 2015, and since then Green Tech Challenge has grown significantly so that in 2018 there will be 9 challenges in Europe and China for the first time.
Canela participates in Green Tech Challenge Portugal
After a very successful Portuguese edition last year, the event is returning again to Lisbon and, has secured some big name partners and sponsors such as Microsoft, J. Pereira da Cruz, Telles de Abreu e Advogados, Miranda e Associados, BBS – Best Business Solutions, WINNING Scientific Management and FollowUs to name but a few. These partners (and Canela) are contributing to help the selected startups growing and consolidating their businesses. The event started Sunday, 18th of March and will finish on Tuesday 20th march with The Investor Day.
Today Alba Calvet, Director, Canela Barcelona and Catarina Sanjuan, Director, Canela Portugal, will be giving workshops to the 13 startups on how best to manage their media relations by explaining the Portuguese media landscape and sharing best practices when reaching out to the media.
On Tuesday 20th March, the startups will pitch to a investor panel with the aim of closing deals that can go up to 5M€, the “green shark tank” as it is referred to. During the afternoon Catarina Sanjuan will also be a keynote speaker to share some of the experience that Canela PR has in the startup ecosystem, having managed the public relations for startups such as Pipedrive and eCooltra in the Portuguese market.
